The golden “Cash Cow” is a whimsical yet thought-provoking sculpture, humorously capturing humanity’s fascination - and, at times, obsession - with wealth and materialism. Sitting contentedly with a full belly and featuring a money slit reminiscent of a piggy bank, this sculpture invites viewers to reflect on our cultural worship of money. Its exaggerated, playful form offers a lighthearted yet poignant reminder of how deeply entrenched material values have become in modern society.

Corporatocracy humorously critiques a world ruled by corporate power. This bronze sculpture reflects the relentless expansion of big companies, growing larger as they begin to conquer the globe. Exhibited at Museo Nacional, Havana, it offers a satirical take on corporate dominance.

“Death of Venus” is inspired by the iconic painting “The Birth of Venus” by Sandro Botticelli, created in 1486 during the Italian Renaissance. To me this painting is a representation of unsurpassed artistic talent, creativity and originality. In today’s contemporary art world much of those qualities are no longer as valued. Art oftentimes is decimated to becoming a commodity and investment tool, something that people buy and hope it will be worth more in the future. In my sculpture the skull symbolizes those changes of cultural ideas and values. The shell from which she emerges is now closed, resembling a coffin. The Ferrari red auto paint is a representation of our fast-living times, of glitz and glamour yet to some degree the figure itself represents the old traditions.

The sculpture Cyber Droppings is a playful commentary on a serious matter about the spread of misinformation, lies and conspiracies through social media. We are in a truth crisis. Social media users are depending on their Facebook and Twitter feeds for news. Lies spread faster on social media than truth does. When we see inaccuracies repeated by politicians, the lies eventually become the truth. Truth has become a partisan issue, and it’s largely the fault of social media companies.

These concrete flags are crafted by casting white concrete onto a diverse array of textured fabric swatches, which together form the flag. Once the concrete cures, the fabric is removed, leaving behind intricate impressions of the fabric's fibers. This unique technique, which I’ve developed and refined over the years, captures the delicate textures of fabric in the lasting medium of concrete.

The sculpture is inspired by the Statue of Liberty, which has welcomed immigrants into this country for well over a century and is regarded as a symbol of democracy. I am showing her in the nude stripped of her dignity, her law book and her torch, which no longer enlightens the world.
